Law of Ukraine of May 16th, 2007 «On Amendments to Certain Legislative Regulations of Ukraine
on the State Architecture and Construction Control and Assistance to Construction Investment Activities»
altered the procedure of issuance of authorizations on construction works.

According to the Law enacted, Law of Ukraine «On Licensing of Certain Types of Economic Activities»
shall no longer be applicable to the licensing of construction activity as from 2008.

Besides, the State Architecture and Construction Inspection and its territorial divisions,
being integrated with the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction,
shall perform the state control with respect to the observance by local authorities,
construction developers and contractors of town-planning and other design documentation,
local rules of agglomeration development, source data requirements and state construction norms.
